The details:
Matt and Brittany wanted a quiet, intimate, breathtaking elopement in the Canadian Rockies tucked back away from the typical touristy spots. They picked Mount Engadine Lodge for their elopement location and it was the absolute perfect spot to get married in the Canmore area. It is quaint, relaxing, quiet and peaceful. The dream elopement location they wanted in Banff was made a reality by choosing this venue for their wedding day.
The Ceremony and Lodging Location:
Tucked back into one of the cozy cabin rentals at the Mount Engadine Lodge Brittany finished getting ready and spent those last moments with her momma getting her dress buttoned up and ready to walk down to Matt. He was anxiously waiting for her at their first look spot. ( I always recommend a first look to my couples. I think this moment is one of the top emotion filled moments you’ll remember forever. I know I cherish the memories from my first look from my own wedding.)
The Wedding Photo Locations:
After the first look, we ran off to adventure into the Spray Lakes area in Kananaskis to a bunch of different locations for their Canmore Wedding photos. One of the gorouges locations was Spray Lakes reservoir itself. Sitting right in the middle of 2 mountain ranges, you’ve got a 360 degree mountain view in whatever direction you look. If you’re looking for the best wedding picture locations near canmore that are not packed with crowds of people, this area down highway 40 in Kananaskis is the ultimate lake location with a great chance of you being one of the only ones out there! With it’s vast size, there are many beautiful quiet area that are perfect for your wedding day portraits, or even a standing ceremony with a small amount of guests.
The Ceremony Location near canmore:
Once we were done with their adventure portraits, we headed back to the lodge to meet up with a few of their family members to do their intimate wedding ceremony overlooking the beautiful rocky mountains. Their wedding ceremony was done by Jason from Urban Officiant. If you are looking for a wedding officiant, all of them from Urban officiant are beyond incredible! Talk about the nicest, sweetest, and most genuine officiants who make beautiful, heartfelt ceremonies to fit your day perfectly. I recommend them to every single couple of mine who needs a Canmore officiant for their ceremony! Their beautiful ceremony was filled with many laughs, tears and truly heartfelt moments. What a joy it was to photograph this intimate ceremony in the mountains for them.
Who could ask for a more beautiful intimate wedding location near Canmore than this?? It’s always top of my list for my couples who are looking for the perfect place to stay + plan their all inclusive wedding day without the crowds in Banff.
To wrap this up, Mount Engadine is the perfect intimate wedding venue near Canmore if you are looking for something truly peaceful, laid back and wrapped in the essence of what a Canadian intimate wedding is all about! A true gem and one of my favourite wedding venues to photograph at.
